This is a mockup of a business card. You can probably tell by looking at it. I will hand it to people when they want my contact information, or like me on many occasions, are pretending to want contact information.
This is well designed, most definitely, but if I may offer critique:
The “this is a BUSINESS CARD” line feels a little like a slap to the face hahah. Partly because, yes, it is plainly stating the obvious for a sorta-edgy humorous effect, but also because well, it doesn’t explain ANYTHING further about you or your work. It’s like a punchline to a joke that was never told. But besides that, there’s the main issue that — well — just give this card a glance over. If you were an art director looking through a pile of business cards, how would you read this one? “MY NAME IS TISH DOOLIN. BUSINESS CARD.” That’s how it reads. The “BUSINESS CARD” is red, just like your name, and is of the same font, and considerably larger and more obvious than the line above it stating what it is you actually do. Thus, it’s very easy to overlook at that detail if skimmed and associate the two bits of type together.
If I were you, I’d rethink that last line. If you absolutely must have it, at least rethink the size and color relationships :)
This also reminds me that I have to remake my business cards soon. I still have old Plastic Shards cards and that’s now defunct!
I also got some critique on the image used on the back! :0 lots to think about.
honestly i LOVE. the this is a business card bit. like LOVE LOVE LOVE. it is extremely well designed. my tastes actually draw me more to that side than the portion with the actual art.
